White-eyed Vireo
(Vireo griseus)
Maryland, USA - April 2001
The White-eyed Vireo, a summer visitor to the eastern United States, inhabits dense bushes within woods. In spring they are generally quite easy to locate by their characteristic song, but a lot of patience is often required to get good views of them among the tangled branches.
