Ovenbird
Seiurus aurocapillus
Virgina, USA - April 2001
Named after its domed nest that resembles a Dutch oven, the Ovenbird is usually found walking along the forest floor where it forages among the leaf litter for invertebrates. It is common in forests throughout most of eastern North America, extending westwards in the boreal forests of Canada to Alberta and north-eastern British Columbia.
