Once an extremely abundant species throughout Britain, the Song Thrush, has undergone a massive decline in Britain, with populations dropping by over 70% in farmland habitats.

Song Thrushes have a long breeding season lasting from March to August. In this time they will usually raise 2-3 broods, each consisiting of 3-5 chicks.
