Short-tailed Shearwater
(Puffinus tenuirostris)
Short-tailed Shearwater is a common species in the Pacific with a population of around 23 million.

It is almost identical to the equally common Sooty Shearwater. The main differences are a shorter bill, more rounded head with a higher forehead and a shorter, broader neck.
