Acrocephalidae : Reed-Warblers

Eurasian Reed Warbler

Acrocephalus scirpaceus

Nottinghamshire, England - May 2017

Eurasian Reed Warbler, as its name suggests, is primarily found in reedbeds where its skulking habits among the dense reed stems can make it fairly difficult to observe, although its presence is usually quite easy to detect from its loud, scratchy song.

Nottinghamshire, England - May 2017

Like most European warblers, it is migratory and spends the winter in central  and southern Africa.
