Actiniaria : Sea Anenomies

Beadlet Anemone (Actinia equina) - West Glamorgan, Wales - June 2009

Sea anemonies are predatory marine invertebrates that live their entire lives anchored to rocks where they ensnare prey with their stinging tentacles. Several species can be found around the coasts of Britain in shallow intertidal rock pools.
