The Barn Owl is a cosmopolitan species found throughout most of Australia and New Zealand. Its distribution also extends across a large portion of the world's landmasses (excluding most of Asia north of India and northern North America) and photographs of Barn Owls taken in locations outside of the Australasian area can be found here.
