Out of the roughly 200 species of Rhopalidae so far described worldwide, 11 have been recorded in Britain.
M. miriformis is a common species found in dry and damp grassland habitats throughout most of England and Wales
Chorosoma schillingi is mainly found on dune systems and coastal grasslands in southern Britain from Anglesey to Norfolk.
