Argyrotaenia ljungiana

Attenborough, Nottinghamshire, England - May 2013

Argyrotaenia ljungiana's preferred habitats are moors and heathland, but it does also occur in marshes and gardens where its larvae feed on a variety of trees and herbaceous plants. It is found throughout most of Britain. The adults are double-brooded in the south and can be found on the wing from late April-May and again from late June-early August. They are only univoltine in the north (late April-June).
